(Sapporo, Japan)—Last Friday, on the opening night of Franklin Graham's "One True God" Festival of Hope in Sapporo's Hokkai Kita-Yell sport's arena, God exceeded everyone's highest expectations. (Photo via BGEA)
Said Festival counselor Akiko Togashi, "I've never seen this kind of scene. The Holy Spirit filled this place, so many people came forward."
Speaking to masses of Japanese, many of whom were raised worshipping multiple gods, Franklin Graham said, "There is a God, the one true God, and He loves you. No other religion claims to have forgiven your sins."
According to the Billy Graham Evangelical Association (BGEA) website, musicians from around the world had been invited to participate in the Festival. Indeed, the world-renowned Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers flew more than 6,000 miles to sing at the event.
By the time the last night of the three-day Festival came, BGEA noted that the attendants—who clearly loved, and were moved by, the praise and worship—could scarcely contain their joy.
